Fábio Leite
Forestry Engineer
Fabio is a Forestry Engineer, with a master’s degree in Forest Products Technology and a PhD in wood chemistry – carbonaceous products from Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP in Brazil. Between 2012 and 2020 he was a professor of the Agronomy and Forestry Engineering course at the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences of São Paulo, teaching courses of Forest Management and Production, Forest Inventory, and Wood Technology. He also acted as coordinator of the Forestry Engineering course and manager of Research and Development at the Faculty’s Experimental Farm, a stage in which he developed several extension projects with quilombola, Indigenous and riverside communities in the Vale do Ribeira region and with forestry companies in the region of southwestern São Paulo. During this period, he also consulted with numerous forestry companies in Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Trinidad and Tobago. Since 2021, Fábio has resided in Paraguay and lives in La Victoria, where he manages the Project’s nursery, plant selection, and other field activities.
